However, we have been approached by suppliers of non MR products for bespoke equipment and are now regularly engineering items across a wide range of disciplines.
Our team of design and production managers have over 40 years experience in the medical equipment market. Through continuous dialogue with the customer we ensure all specified requirements are met in the early stages of the design process in order to keep costly, late alterations to a minimum.
Encompassing the use of a high spec computer design package and modern fabrication and machining equipment, we are able to produce top quality products from ‘one off’ specials right through to large batch quantities.
Our highly skilled CNC operatives have extensive knowledge of both vertical machining centres and high production lathes. This coupled with rigourous checking procedures and regular calibration combine to give accurate, fast and cost effective components.
Using the latest in inverter welding technology our skilled tradesmen are able to produce high quality fabrications in most metallic materials. With a range of equipment able to cut, bend, fold, roll and join we can produce most fabrications without the need to outsource.
Strict documented procedures during our final assembly ensure that we produce a high quality, thoroughly inspected and tested product. With a purpose built hydraulic test facility being incorporated into the testing of all elevating height equipment, we guarantee that customers receive 1st class results.

We were approached by a leading supplier of patient monitoring equipment in the MR market to produce an MR safe stand platform capable of working within this environment. The specification included storage drawers, cable tidies, impact rails and the facility to hide all the power cables from view.
A trolley based on our standard fixed height paediatric trolley with the addition of a removable monitor stand on either end and a double oxygen cylinder holder attached to the base frame.
With the increasing use of mobile digital imaging systems in hospitals, a unique trolley has been designed specifically for A&E departments. This trolley has all the features required for A&E and can facilitate the use of both digital technology and conventional x-ray cassettes.
Departments currently working with conventional x-ray equipment can purchase new trolleys knowing that if/when their department becomes digital these trolleys will be able to accommodate this new technology reducing long term budget expenditure.
The patient would be able to remain on one trolley for transportation/treatment/x-ray, saving time, money and the risk of patient and staff injury during transfer from one trolley to another.
Wardray Premise are, we believe, the only manufacturer of this type of trolley. This demonstrates a typical example of a design requirement supplied specifically to accommodate changing technology.
Manufacture and installation of steelwork for UK’s 1st CyberKnife® Cancer Treatment machine at London’s Harley Street Clinic
During this prestigious project we were tasked with supplying a steel structure capable of supporting the 90 tonnes of lead within the ceiling. This was installed as a ceiling in a confined basement room in Harley Street, London. This assignment required detailed planning and staff commitment to deliver and build this structure ahead of schedule and within budget.
It was pleasing that Wardray Premise delivered the total shielding solution for the CyberKnife® project with minimal outsourcing. This ensured that we controlled the quality and precision required to complete this complex shielding package.
