Wardray PremiseX-Ray Protective Mobile Screens and Workstations |
A large selection of mobile screens are manufactured with panoramic (full width) windows or standard smaller windows. White or light grey plastic laminate finishes are available from stock. These screens are particularly useful in departments where space may be an issue.
A wide range of other colours are available to special order. The enamelled legs fitted with easy running anti-static castors provide excellent stability.
A number of variations on the standard range of our protective screens are available.

Special Purpose Mobile Screens
TopWhen a lower degree of protection is required the mobile screen (shown left) is ideal. The solid base has a code 3 (1.32mm Pb) lead core with the top section made from lead acrylic (0.50mm Pb) equivalent.
The use of this material enabled the introduction of a cut-out to allow contact with the patient for positioning or the introduction of catheters.
Flexiled strips with 0.50mm Pb equivalent have been fitted to the aperture.

Protective Workstations

Three styles and sizes are illustrated and give a true indication of our ability to meet specific customer requirements.
Screens are available with or without lead glass windows and may also be fitted with Vistamatic™ shutters.
Dry wipe white boards, shelves, cupboards and other storage facilities are manufactured to meet individual needs.
The lead thickness required should be established in consultation with your local Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA).
However, the overall weight and manoeuvrability must also be carefully considered.
Flexible Screens
TopWardray Premise Flexible Screens are available in 0.50mm and 1.00mm Pb equivalent. The panels can be finished in any of the standard Ultraflex® colours.
Panels are 600mm high x 600mm wide and the steel frame to support a single panel, fitted with good quality castors, allows a height adjustment of 750mm to 1200mm from the top edge.
The simple introduction of a second supporting bar converts the frame to take a second panel below.

Kenex Height Adjustable Mobile Shield
TopThis mobile unit has been designed for use in the confined area close to an X-Ray table.
The lead acrylic window has a lead equivalent of 0.50mm Pb. It is 700mm wide and the internal counter balance allows adjustment from a height of 1900mm for complete protection lowering to 1150mm for access to the patient.
The lower panel has a lead equivalent of 1.0mm Pb and is supported on good quality legs and castors.

Factory fitted rails are available as optional extras for attaching hand controls, to allow the user to work within the safe zone created by the shield. Two standard sizes are available with rail dimensions of 8mm x 25mm, and 10mm x 25mm. Other sizes are available to special order on request.

Kenex Height Adjustable Over-Table Shield
TopA dramatic reduction in radiation exposure to the whole body can be achieved when this shield is properly utilised. It creates an extensive safety zone within which the practitioner can work. The wide shadow cast by the shield also provides protection to assisting personnel.
The shield is adjustable for height and width and provides full body protection without impeding procedures.
The counterbalanced window is 1770mm at it’s maximum overall height and 1450mm when fully lowered.
This mobile shield combines all the benefits of overhead suspended shields and table mounted shields in a single unit, without the need for installation.
