MediLadder is designed for use by patients in clinical diagnostic examination environments affixed to approved MRI equipment. The device is intended as a manual assistance aid for patients who may require extra help whilst raising or lowering themselves from / to a supine position. Used correctly, the device reduces manual handling demands on assisting staff and therefore reduces their risk of occupational injury.
For safety reasons, MediLadder is only intended to be attached temporarily to approved tables / beds during use and therefore must be removed following usage. MediLadder must never be left attached to any equipment, or in the vicinity of a patient following use. Maximum patient user weight: 100Kg (15½ Stone) body weight, with guidance from 2 assistants.
